Relationship Between Cybernetic and Knowledge Management in Organizations

Also ‘knowledge management’ as a ...  Read More Nowadays, organizations have concluded that no other resource than knowledge can situate them most desirably in this competitive world. Therefore, more than any other factor, the spotlight has turnedupon employees as the owners of knowledge. Also ‘knowledge management’ as a tool which can accumulate the existing knowledge, organize it, make it dynamic, and disseminate it in the wholeorganization, has taken on a new significance. But, what matters is the way other dimensions interact, in terms of influence, with the knowledge management. This article studied the effect as well as the relationship between cybernetics – which includes six main dimensions of ‘variety and constraint,’ ‘entropy and  nformation,’ ‘thelaw of requisite variety and the decision rule,’ ‘goal-directedness and control’, ‘feedback and distinctions and relations’ – and knowledge management process – which is comprised of four main dimensions of  ‘knowledge creation,’ ‘conversion and transfer,’ ‘preservation,’ and ‘application’. Our statistical population included the staff of Farassan Company, and questionnaires were deployed for gathering the data . According to the analysis, dimensions of ‘variety and constraint’ as well as ‘knowledge transfer and conversion’ were excluded on account of having poor indicators. In addition, research results confirmed the conceptual model with the data collected and the fact that a significant relationship between knowledge management process and cybernetics existed.

Unfortunately, despite the importance of agriculture in Iranian economy, the potential role of sustainable agriculture approach in resolving the current issues of agricultural sector, and creation of long-term sustainability, sustainable development and agriculture have been remained demoted to translation of some definitions and articles. This research considers the discussion of fundamental differences of livelihood, business or industrial agriculture and sustainable agriculture; and investigates the challenges  of business or industrial agriculture  and the concept of sustainable agriculture from the perspectives  of management, sustainable agriculture paradigm (sustainable development paradigm and sustainability model),  definition of sustainable agriculture,  sustainability framework (four social, economical, natural, and political dimensions of sustainability),  determination of the differences to  be  made  for establishment  of sustainable  agriculture as the result of changes in the environment. Also, considering the set of research findings, this research suggests the consecutive actions to be taken in different levels of agriculture sustainability, including utilization level, village level, zone level, province level, and national level.

In Iran,  dissertations  of some fields such as sociology  and management have been studied and evaluated against such criteria as: the quality of the methodology,  references  and documentations,  theories tested  and etc.   In  U.S.A.,   dissertations   have  been   evaluated   based   on  the importance  of titles,  methodological  credit  and  so  on.  one  type  of these   evaluations   is  meta  analysis  which   evaluates   the  previous researches  to summarize  and synthesize them when their findings are inconsistent  to  find out the cause of the inconsistencies  and conflicts between   them.   This   kind   of  research   is   sometimes   called   the evaluation   of past  researches  or  evaluation   of evaluations.  In  this article meta analysis,  its functions, its benefits  and its process will be discussed.

It is widely recognized that in order for the world to be able to obtain development,  it is fundamental for all citizens to participate in development  process and this is only possible with the full involvement of women in the development process of the country. This means that women's issues must be given priority in national and international arena. In this article four important issues that deserve prior attention and adequate action will be discussed. The issues are: globalization and women, violence  against women, trafficking of women,  and gender digital divide. 2 I Management Studies In the Survey research the statistical population comprised of all small and medium enterprises producing chocolate.  The convenient sampling method was  used in  order to  select the  sample and the sampling size comprised 40 enterprises.  Then  15  executwes in the organizations offering  services were  chosen  and  surveyed  on the needs of small and medium - sized chocolate producing enterprises for different services. Finally a Model is introduced which its main points consists of ranking of chocolate producers needs services by groups and subgroups, establishing an opinion poll, centers offering professional services with education,  research and consulting cores prepared to offer expected services to chocolate producers.

Some  of the  inputs of our  industries are: human  resources, technology, and  financial  resources. Shortages  in  any  one  of  these  resources will  have  impact  upon   our working  environment and  may  cause  accidents in workplace.   Hazardous  conditions,   unsafe   act,   old   methods &  techniques, shortage of  skills,  know-hows,   unsafe  equipment and  tool,  are some  of  the positive   entropies  in   our  mining   industries.   Managers    should    eliminate, control  and  minimize hazardous conditions and  they  are obliged   to  provide negative entropies in order to minimize  the  occupational accident. Employees should    have   access   to   a   safe   place   to   work,  safe   tools    &  equipment, knowledge  of  overt   and   covert   hazards,   competent   fellow   employees  and supervisors,  and   the   means   to  ensure  that   the  rules   and   regulations  are observed.   In  order  to  meet  these  serious  obligations,  managers  should  view the  whole  issue  through  a  system  perspective  and  use  system   approach  to minimize  the  unsafe conditions and  maximize  the  occupational safety.

This study traces  the demise of development administration and presents a new paradigm in the form of sustainable  development  administration (SDA). The author argues that the paradigm of SDA is markedly different from the  traditional paradigm of development  administration (DA) in its emphasis, scope, treatment of politics, view of indigenous _cultures, goals, operating mode,  decision  making system,  use  of foreign  aid  and  performance accountability. The  study  concludes by declaring  that  SDA has the potential  to emerge  as a New field of study  in  public administration.

The  national   concerted   efforts  in  developing  national  TQM   models, have helped  to  identify  the  quality system  requirements by introducing a  set  of  standard  criteria  for  understanding   quality  and   a  common reference   for  quality  policies   and  practices.   The  trend   in  designing national   TQM   models   and  establishing   quality  awards   in   national, regional,  and  local  levels  represents  an  important  part  of the  overall quality  movement  that  has  swept  many  countries  in   the  world  since mid-1980s.  For example,  in  addition  to Japanese  and  American  TQM models,    the    European   Foundation   for    Quality    Management   in conjunction   with    the    European    commission    has   launched    the European TQM  model  for self-appraisal  in  1992.  These  initiatives  are playing  a  key role  in  the  quality  revolution   in  these  regions  and  are effectively   raising   quality   performance  standards   and   expectations throughout the world In light of these developments,  the need  for developing  a framework for a national  TQM  model  for  Iran  is  apparent. This  article  identifies the  principels of TQM  and  attempts to  construct a  preliminary TQM framework  for Iran.
